Participation in STEMG

Aviaizdat joined the Simplified Technical English Maintenance Group (STEMG).

On February 12, 2021 during the regular meeting of STEMG Liliya Zentsova, Director General of Aviaizdat, LLC, was accepted as a secondary Russian representative as part of the Simplified Technical English Maintenance Group (STEMG).

STEMG exists since 1983. The Group was formed with an objective to implement the Simplified Technical English (STE) project.

Development and use of a unified language for technical publications is extremely important, because it allows for unbiased understanding of technical documentation. STE principles are applied not only in aviation but also in marine transportation, information technologies, automobile transportation, energy industry and many more other areas.

In 1986 the Group produced the AECMA Simplified English Guide, which in 2005 was re-worked into the ASD Simplified Technical English Specification (ASD-STE100).

Currently STEMG consists of 11 primary national representatives, 4 secondary national representatives, 3 associate members, 1 emeritus member. The full list of participants can be found at STEMG web-page: http://www.asd-ste100.org/membership.html

At the moment STEMG is updating and extending the current version of ASD-STE100. The new Issue 8 is expected to be released in May 2021.
